Didn’t care to get bio suits. I found that just scavenging(I’m a hell of a scavenger); you will find armor/clothing that will easily get you protection. I also fight everything that moves and don’t avoid conflict so leveling up is the best way to get 2,000-3,000 HP in the first 15 hours of play. I just made a V line to the north part of the map as I leveled up to reach more rewarding fights.

“Fungi” is essential for reaching crucial areas in the game. There are three or four areas with important artifacts that can’t reach without that jump. There are buildings you can’t get in without it.

Just started playing this. Switch backlog lol. I went in hoping for only single player grind and just got done 3 hrs of multi-player and had a great time.

Bad hair physics, can't climb everything like Link, no mini map, poorly designed interface, dumb difficulty levels with no incentives or rewards for higher difficulty, etc etc

The Dark Souls of stealth games ;) Seriously though, massively underrated and overlooked game. Brilliant design and intriguing story with stellar music and top shelf voice acting by Rose Leslie(Ygritte from Game of Thrones).

I've held off moving forward on this game because I didn't want to do "group" quests. I just came back tonight and decided to hunt the high rank solo. I struggled with Tigrex, but pulled it out.

Hoping I will have the strength and the willpower to beat this game. Had lot of mishaps happening to me with our Internet down, power went out and had to pair my controller again, Im hoping with all of that out of the way I can beat Far Cry 6.

Thanks for creating and sharing this extremely informative video. I loved the challenge of stealth in Far Cry 5, as well as the SA-50, which your sniper rifle of choice appears very similar to. One can save their game at any point, by simply swapping a new piece of clothing onto their character using the Arsenal (don't forget to swap back in the original item, if it is essential to your character's overall bonus type/s).

Get the Prisoner's Scarf, and you'll never need a gun. It lets you just run through every level and kill everyone with your machete.

for me, manual landing mode is pretty easy becuz of my play time. so I recommend to start with it to not need to learn it later.

The recurve bow is the king of stealth in Far cry series. Just aim for the head and no one will hear them fall.

TIP: When you have the camp network unlocked, fast travel to all of them many times, and you'll see one NPC with an exclamation mark most of the times in each camp. Super quick way to unlock tons of locations and activities. I don't remember if the daily chest is something you have to unlock, but if you have access to it, make sure to grab it in each camp. You'll get tons of resources just from this. Btw, thanks for a great video :)

Free fast travel tip: drive faster

I have played Valhalla multiple times and the books of knowledge were at the same location but they had different abilities every time. So you cant say where certain ability will be. The same goes for flying tattoo pages in settlements, always different tattoos.

I find that playing MP really slows down the game - maybe because a lot of players just button mash and don't know all of the little ins and outs of doing the maximum amount of damage. If you have experienced players with you, then hunts are crazy short and sometimes monsters don't even have a chance to attack. You just never know what you're going to get with random players.

Saying that you "forgot" something from the tutorial and then passing it off as a tip.. IS NOT A TIP

i have no problem to be stealth. i have huge problem enemy spawn very close to you constantly.

Just get a sniper with a scope, canted sights and a suppressor. That and the marksman hat thing and you'll be fine. You don't need bows, multiple guns, distractions or anything else. Just spot, shoot go. In case 2 people are close sure throw a baseball, but it's really easy to stealth in this game.

Though it has been said many times already in the comments, I too would like to express my thanks for this review. One of the things that frustrate me is when certain other reviewers prioritise multiplayer experiences in videogames, which can make it hard for a solo player to decide whether to purchase a game or not. The game may have a solo campaign / story mode, but if the review is all about multiplayer, or if the game only really works as a multiplayer, then that's a red flag for me. Then there's also the controls. Even though there's a demo for MH: Rise and I've tried it, I've found it hard to wrap my head around all of the controls available in the game. I could probably 'hack and slash' my way to a degree, but if I want to 'get guud' then I need more practice... and I only got a few more attempts of the demo left. Your video has basically sold me that, if I stick with it I can learn to like this game (and other similar games such as MH Generations, or God Eater 3). I'll wait for a deep sale, but next time that comes around, I'll probably give it a shot.

The one thing missing from this video was armor and decoration skills. Those are vitally important to consider when considering what armor to craft, plus there's a separate crafting list for armor if you just like the look of a particular set.

lmao i just saw this & been playing MHR for a week now after i bought it on eshop, & im on 6 star level on HUB Quest by doing solo i didn't now it was meant for co-op as of now i have no problem facing those magnamalo's 🤣 im just shocked because i literally had no idea. PS: my village quest is only 3 star.

Yes and I'd even argue it's better than multiplayer. Doing village quests I had to learn patterns, upgrade my gear and generally be a lot more involved with the mechanics. In multiplayer I didn't need any of that. There's always one or two players beating the sh*t out of the monsters why everyone else's job was simply not to die...

I bought this game recently after watching the review and have put about 50 hours into it, and just started on the Sunbreak DLC. After playing solo throughout most of the game (aside from a couple urgent quests that were played online with strangers), I can say it's definitely got a learning curve. For instance, the game has 3 difficulties, Low Rank (the one you start out with), High Rank (unlocked after 4* hub completion) and Master Rank with the Sunbreak DLC after 7* hub completion. Online guides are sort of missing bits and pieces, trying to navigate the weapon trees means going to higher ranks and defeating the higher tier monsters to unlock new options. Also, gear gets quickly outdated in all 3 difficulties, at Master Rank, my rathalos high rank armour had way less armour than a Great Izuchi in Master Rank, one of the first monsters you might fight. You basically restart the game at those points (aside from having to craft lower tier weapons to upgrade to high tiers). I'd definitely recommend playing with friends, the first 20-30 hours are probably spent just catching up to the point where veterans who have been playing for years are at.
